We're back! C&CW 2013!

We are back and excited to offer another year of three days of gaming for Coal & Claw Weekend at Gunslinger Games! After last year's stunning and unexpected success Donesh, Jarred, Kyle, and I are happy to announce some old and more new events!

More Events!
Last year we ran 5 events, this year we are offering 6+! What you can expect, but not limited to:
- 50 Pt SR
- Masters-format tournament on Sunday
- 40 Pt 2 Caster Highlander
- And...

Diplomacy Machine!
After listening to your feedback from last year, Diplomacy Machine is back in full force action! We play tested some changes and I am happy to announce that Don has settled on a final rule print for Diplomacy Machine.

Other Games!
Based on the space available to us last year at Gunslinger Games, we at Coal & Claw this year are opening up to Henchman, Liasons, and former Rogue Traders! I can definitely confirm we are working with Chris Allen, a former Rogue Trader who, out of the love of the game, continues to perform his duties. We will continue to post updates as to what games will be available - Malifaux, MERCS, Infinity, and X-Wing are all on the table.

Painting Competition!
I am announcing this now. Our painting competition is back with some minor changes.

Categories:

1. Master Painter - Any small or medium based model (up to 40mm base size). If you win a prize in this category, you are ineligible to win prizes in any other painting category. 
2. Monster of a Monster Base - Any huge base size (120mm) or larger.
3. Best Battlegroup - Battlegroup for Warmachine/Hordes consisting of one warcaster/warlock and an additional 2 to 4 warjacks or warbeasts.
4. Best Table - Table theme terrain again! We are always interested in what players can make! Several terrain pieces can be found amongst the stores in the DFW Area too as they were donated by their craftsmen.

Rules:

1. Model(s) that have won any awards from a previous painting competition are ineligible. Should we find that a model has already been entered previously, that entry will be disqualified immediately. 
2. Model(s) that are entered incorrectly for the wrong category will be disqualified and not be judged upon.
3. Entries are due in by 6 PM Saturday, July 6th. Awards will be presented Sunday, July 7th.

Volunteers!
This year we are looking for volunteers for each Warmachine/Hordes event and it may extend to other games' events as well. Volunteers will be assisting the tournament organizer with entering in results, arranging tables for scenarios and crowd control. Volunteers will be organized in shifts of 6 to 7 hours and there will be two shifts per day. Those that volunteer will receive a discount to their entry fee.

We will announce sign ups for volunteers in the next couple of weeks.
